STRUCTURAL LEAK SEALING

Polyurethane Injection Epoxy Injection

In remedial situations, structural leak sealing can be achieved by means of injected hydroactive resin based grout materials. Using specially developed equipment, appropriate materials are injected in cracks, joints or other defects in structures such as water containment and treatment structures, tank storage bunds, tunnels, pump wells, lift pits, basements, manholes and culverts etc where water ingress or egress is evident.

Hydroactive resins react expansively when in contact with water in a crack or joint to form a foam or gel seal rapidly reducing and stopping water penetration. Variations in resin formulation allow injected resin to react rapidly to deal with situations where water flow is high, or remain flexible where ongoing movement is anticipated. Resins have also been formulated to enable water penetration through the finest cracks in concrete structures to be effectively sealed.

Other areas of expertise are available to deal with other forms of leakage, such as through joints in large diameter pipes and precast tunnel structures.

We are able to rectify leaks in concrete structures with very little disruption to the facility or site without costly downtime being experienced and the requirement for expensive excavations.

STRUCTURAL WATERPROOFING

The use of proprietary liquid and trowel applied waterproofing material systems is routine in new construction and refurbishment work to tank, line or otherwise waterproof water retaining structures, basements, car park decks, reservoir roof structures, bridge structures, storage protection bunds and inverted roof structures.

Specific products and application techniques are available to suit substrate conditions and service requirements. These can include use in contact with potable water (products for use in service reservoirs and contact tanks), on substrates subject to movement (reservoir roofs and bridge structures), on substrates subject to abrasion (settlement tanks, channels, spillways and hoppers), or in situations where chemical resistance is required (water/wastewater treatment structures and chemical tank storage bunds).

Other applications include waterproofing to resist negative pressures (such as in basements), waterproofing expansion joints subject to high levels of movement (such as in sectional water storage tanks, on podium roofs and car pack and bridge structures).

GROUND STABILISATION & CONSOLIDATION

Using state of the art techniques and materials we are able to provide soil stabilization and consolidation and/or void filling service for the rectification of erosion problems in a variety of situations.

For anyone involved in construction, whether it be new or remedial work, soil stabilization and consolidation is very important. When unstable soils are encountered, it can lead to dangerous or even deadly working conditions.

We offer methods of stabilising and consolidating soils using specialised resins that can be used in excavation, shoring and erosion control applications. Increases in load bearing capacities are also achieved utilising these systems.

Due to the low viscosity of these materials they are able to travel through soils easily and, during reaction, bind the soil and strata particles together, while the expansive nature of the material exerts pressure in all directions. The result produced is a solid waterproofed section of impermeable strata.

These materials are inert when cured and therefore will not pollute the environment and are non-hazardous.
